Mr. Mark Pampling
Mr. Mark Pampling ( Australia )Mark Pampling Examining a floral design by Mark Pampling is often a chance to experience crisp lines and exacting technique. He has become known for his structural approach to designing - a technical approach that leaves ample room to respect plant material and elevate its inherent beauty. Mark’s interest in floral designoriginated in his home town of Toowoomba, long known as Australia’s Garden City and famous for its annual Carnival of Flowers. Mark has been awarded Australia’s top floristry prize, the Interflora Australia Cup, on multiple occasions and has been highly placed in a number of international competitions and exhibitions, including a 3rd placing at the Interflora World Cup in 2004 when he represented Australia. He represented Australia again at the Asia Cup in Japan in July 2014, and he won the ‘Best in Show’ Award with his display at the inaugural International Flower Show Japan at Huis Ten Bosch in October the same year. More recently he has been named as the Fusion Flowers Magazine International Designer of the Year. Manyroles make up Mark’s extensive resume. He is co-owner of Alstonville Florist in northern New South Wales, Australia, a floristry teacher, demonstrator, floristry Judge and industry consultant – roles that have taken him all around Australia and most recently to New Zealand,China, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Belgium, Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Taiwan. Mark is also a regular contributor to international floral design publications, most regularly to Fusion Flowers Magazine. Mark believes that inspiration is everywhere, and nowhere, using each new project and design opportunity to explore potential new sources, challenging his creativity and talents to reach new heights. Ms. Wendy Andrade AIFD ( United Kingdom )Wendy Andrade NDSF AIFD FBFA has many years of floral design experience and is recognised worldwide for her innovative style and is very passionate about intricate design work. Having studied at Hadlow college as a mature student for 4 years gaining level 1, 2 & 3 NVQ, The ICSF Level 4 ( Intermediate Certificate of floral design ) and the NDSF level 5 ( National Diploma of the Society of Floristry ), Wendy went onto gain a certificate of education at Greenwich University becoming a tutor at the college for 8 years . With the NDSF firmly under her belt, she went onto achieve the American Institute of Floral Design award ( A I F D ) in 2010 and is a Fellow of the British Floral Association ( FBFA ) Wendy has won numerous awards including a Royal Horticultural Society Gold medal and Best in Show ( NAFAS ) as well as two Silver Gilt Medals for Floristry from the UK’s famous Chelsea Flower Show. Wendy enjoys sharing her knowledge with everyone and as a qualified teacher, educator and speaker worldwide. Her work can regularly be seen on international stages and in international floral books and magazines such as FUSION magazine and she can now add ‘Author’ to her ever growing entourage of achievements as her first book Fresh Floral Jewellery - Creating wearable art was launched in 2013. As the first ever British floral designer to be invited to join the prestigious Oscar Flower Team at The Academy Awards in 2010, Wendy is also proud to have been a designer at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade in the USA and is repeatedly involved as a principle floral design leader at the acclaimed Philadelphia Flower Show. March 2013 saw the public launch of her new book at the Philadelphia show where she also hosted and presented the opening design shows. As passionate about her family as she is her profession, Wendy and her husband of 29 years live in an area of outstanding beauty in the English countryside and are the loving parents to two grown up newly married daughters. Worked for Jones & Scully, Inc. in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. as a trainee for 13 months from 1977 till 1978. 4. Started to work at Nagata Engei which is a commercial orchid nursery of my father’s in 1978. My great grandfather started to grow orchids as a hobbyist. 5.
